Aims & Scope of Advanced Powder Technology

The aim of Advanced Powder Technology is to meet the demand for an international journal integrating all aspects of research on science and technology of powder & particulate materials. The journal fulfils this aim by publishing original research papers, rapid communications, reviews and reports, with regularly featuring outstanding articles translated by prominent researchers around the world. Advanced Powder Technology was initially founded as the International Journal of the Society of Powder Technology, Japan, but now the editorial works are shared with an unique framework consisted of regional and distinguished board members to respond the increasing world-wide demands to submit the articles not only on various aspects of powder and particles, but also on all kinds of materials produced from particles and powder.

Advanced Powder Technology reports on research in various areas of science and technology of powder/particulate materials such as particle characterization, particle modification, computer simulations & system analysis, reactor design & powder process control, unit operations for gaseous/liquid system, medicines & foods, ceramics, aerosol, colloid, particle motion & rheology, dynamics of powder layer, safety, storage & conveying, mixing & kneading, granulation & compaction, milling & classification, fluidized bed, drying, electrostatics, combustion & dust collection, agglomeration & dispersion, adhesion, deposition & re-entrainment, nucleation, crystallization & particle growth.

Submission for Advanced Powder Technology

Submission
Since 2009, authors can submit your paper online via Elsevier Editorial System (EES) and benefit from the considerably shorter time required to reach an editorial decision about publication. For all further information, please go to the journal's homepage on :http://www.elsevier.com/locate/apt

Submission of an article is understood to imply that the article is original and unpublished and is not being considered for publication elsewhere. Reviews and translated papers of specialized topics are also welcome, after the authors obtain preliminary approval from Editor-in-Chief. Upon acceptance of any article by the Journal, the author(s) will be asked to transfer the copyright of the article to the copyright holder. This transfer will ensure the widest possible dissemination of information. No part of this publication may be reproduced, stored in a retrieval system, or transmitted in any form.

Categories of submissions
-Original research paper
-Translated paper
-Rapid communication/Note
-Review article
-Letter to editor
-Book review

When submitting your article, the author chooses a suitable category, and request a chief of the editorial board you ask to review. If you are not request, your article is to be appropriately handled by the editorial office.

Page charge
There are no page charges.

General:
-Manuscript
Authors are requested to use double line spacing of the text and to be numbered beginning with the title page. The first page of an article should contain the title of the paper, the name(s) and address(es) of all the author(s) and the author to whom correspondence and proofs should be addressed. Even if you want to submit two or more consecutive papers with any sub-title, each paper is treated as an individual paper, so that you are not allowed to use the word gPart I and Part II h and other similar words in the title. An abstract of up to 200 words, as well as up to five keywords, should follow the title page on a separate sheet.

Headings and subheadings for different sections of the paper (e.g. Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion) should be clearly indicated. Units of measurement, abbreviations and symbols should follow the International System of Units (Sl). Equations and formulae should be typewritten. Equations should be numbered consecutively with Arabic numerals in parentheses on the right-hand side of the page.

-Length of text
For the final length of the printed article, authors should cover it within 20 sheets, including all tables and figures, in full two-column page, expect in the case that Editor-in-Chief admits it in academic benefit.

-Tables and figures
All tables and figures should be made in electronic file for high-quality printing/reproduction and cited consecutively in the text. All the tables and figures, as well as its list of descriptive captions, should be provided at the end of the article separately from the text as original drawings. Tables should be given short informative titles and numbered consecutively in Arabic numerals, and figures should be submitted in a form tolerable for reproducing and resizing proportionally. Each table and figure should be numbered and each number should be indicated below it. Color printings of tables and figures are acceptable only if the authors pay for the cost. Regarding the cost, please contact the editorial office.

-Supplemental data
Data that are integral to the manuscript but impractical to include in the printed journal (for instance, large-scale data sets) or that are peripheral to the conclusions may be provided as supplemental data if the editor agrees that these data would be valuable to readers to understand the experimental support for important claims and conclusions. Files for the supplemental data should be uploaded when submission, separating from other files such as manuscript, figure and table through EES.

-Language
Papers will be published in English. Authors, especially non-English natives, must carefully check an article in style, spelling and syntax before submission.

-References
References should be cited in the text using a number in square brackets in order of appearance, and listed at the end of the paper in numerical order.

-List of reference
